Damara Exploration Mining FZ-LLC (formerly PGE GeoConsulting Ltd.) is a small, boutique consultancy that provides exploration and consultancy services to a select clientèle. We do not provide a comprehensive range of services, preferring to leave some things to those that are more expert. However, we can, and do outsource services based on expertise that we do not have in-house. Furthermore, the services that we do provide are provided to the highest possible industry standard. We at Damara, believe in approaching exploration from first principles, believing there are few short-cuts that work, and that discovery is based upon a clear understanding of the geology, structure and tectonic history of a prospect.

Why use satellite imagery and GIS as opposed to Geophysical (for example aero-magnetic) surveys? Surely geophysical surveys, with their noted ability to detect subsurface features, are more powerful techniques, even though these surveys are far more expensive that the GIS/RS method?
